Outline
A structured summary of a screenplay scene by scene, usually 5-15 pages. More detailed than a beat sheet, less detailed than a treatment. Used to plan before writing.
The writer spent two weeks on the outline before writing a single page of the script. Each scene had a one-paragraph description.
